The Donegal room

Donegal is one of the largest of Ireland’s 32 counties. The name comes from the Irish Dún na nGall, meaning « fort of the foreigners”. It is a wild and beautiful place in the far north-west, on the edge of the Atlantic ocean. Its rugged coastline has steep cliffs and rocky inlets, but also some magnificent sandy beaches. The largest town is Letterkenny.
